Acadiana Recovery Center Inpatient Treatment Program recognizes chemical dependence as a primary disease and treats it as such, during each clients 21-28 day stay. Program therapies include: didactic lectures, individual counseling, small group sessions, family education and conjoint sessions, recreation and activity therapy, pastoral counseling, biological therapy, videos, and 12-step meeting attendance. Upon discharge from the Center, clients are typically referred to the following options: 1) Half way house; 2) Vocational rehabilitation services; 3) continued outpatient treatment services; 4) Co-dependency counseling; 5) Family/Marriage counseling; 6) Continued 12-step meeting involvement and/or 7) Other therapeutic/self-help sessions, as appropriate.
