Description:

Louisiana Commission for the Deaf insures Louisiana's public and private services are accessible to deaf, hard of hearing, speech impaired individuals and deaf-blind. Services available are: information on deafness; telecommunication devices and related equipment distribution; telecommunication device training; sign language interpreting services and referrals; state sign language interpreter and cued speech transliterator evaluation/certification; directory of certified sign language interpreters; information on ADA/Louisiana laws relating to hearing impaired issues; ADA assistance activities; telephone relay service information; outreach activities and advocacy referrals.
