A non-profit association assisting developmentally disabled adults to become independent through vocational and daily life skills.

Beauregard Arc is a licensed day program provider and has provided services to the developmentally disabled since 1963.

BARC provides work, work training and life skills training for developmentally disabled adults which enhances the lives of our participants and allows them to be seen as productive and active citizens in the community.

We believe that each individual is a person of worth and value. Each person has individual skills, talents and strengths which they contribute to the community.

Our participants work in the following areas:

Sewing group - making chairback bookbags; Arts & Crafts projects to sell

Lawn Maintenance crew - mowing yards, raking leaves, etc. for businesses & individuals

City Maintenance crew - Contract to keep the City of DeRidder's streets clean

Daily Skills Learning Group - Guidance in daily life skills.

Recycling Group Program - Cardboard pick-up for businesses; Recycle drop off for city for cardboard, books, newspapers, plastics, aluminum cans; Shredding for individuals and businesses at a nominal cost; and Household cooking oil disposal.

Beauregard Arc provides the public with a list of community services from recycling, to city clean up to mowing grass. Please call us for more information on any of the services.

Eligibility is established through the Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities - Region V Eligible persons must be 20-65 years of age;
clients must have transportation
