Mission Statement
The stated purpose of CCA is to advise and educate the public on conservation of marine resources. The objective of CCA is to conserve, promote and enhance the present and future availability of these coastal resources for the benefit and enjoyment of the general public.

CCA Louisiana is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of Louisiana's marine resources. Founded in 1983, CCA Louisiana (then GCCA) has been instrumental in banning gill nets in state waters, establishing redfish as a gamefish and ensuring good stewardship of Louisiana's coastal resources.
By joining CCA Louisiana, you become part of the most effective voice for the proper conservation of Louisiana's marine resources. You also receive a year subscription to CCA's award-winning publication -- TIDE magazine -- and our On the Line newsletter. Your membership matters for the future of Louisiana's estuaries and coastal waters.

Youth Club Program - 8-18 - Since 2010, the Coastal Conservation Association of Louisiana (CCA Louisiana) and 4-H Clubs have partnered in a venture that will create dozens of fishing seminars for kids throughout Louisiana. In the program, CCA volunteers from 24 statewide chapters will work with their local 4H Clubs to host the seminars. 4H Club members, ranging from 8-18 yrs of age will attend the events where they will learn about fishing techniques, fishing equipment, fishing regulations, different species of fish, conservation and stewardship, safety, fishing industry careers, and more. Upon completion of each seminar, participants will receive a certificate of merit and a voucher from CCA Louisiana for a complimentary one-year CCA New Tide Membership. The concept originated in Lake Charles where members from the Lake Charles CCA Chapter worked with the Cameron Parish 4H clubs to hold youth seminars. The events have been so successful that is was only natural to offer the program statewide. Contact office for more information and fees

Outreach is a program designed to educate, excite and intrigue youngsters and adults about recreational fishing and the conservation of our marine resources.
The presentation is an enthusiastic !€œshow and tell!€ including audio/visual, demonstrations and hands on participation. The subject matter includes CCA & conservation doctrine, fish identification, equipment/technique, interesting (neat) facts and wraps up with Q & A. All in attendance will receive applicable literature and product.
The statewide program is free of charge and available year-round. Schools, scouting groups, 4-H clubs, men!€™s and women!€™s clubs and other interested organizations may request an Outreach visit. The Outreach team will also give demonstrations at tradeshows, fishing tournaments, seminars and promotional events.
Youth attendees will receive an application for a free New Tide membership and STAR tournament entry. Content, subject matter, and time will be tailored to the group!€™s age, attention span and demographics.
