Statewide System Benefits
There are many benefits of a statewide services network, for both provider organizations and the clients receiving services. Organizations gain a historical view of the services a client has received throughout the state, and can see what has and has not worked. Communities learn where and how often a client enters the system, their physical and financial conditions at the time and so on, and can better tailor services to meet those needs. Gaps in services that allow people to fall through the cracks are highlighted and brought to attention. As well, a shared database prevents duplications in service and helps maximize community resources.
As a state, we need to pull together to help those in need, utilizing fewer resources while providing more assistance. By collaborating, we can better serve the needs of Louisiana, and LSNDC provides an important tool in this process.
