Mission
The National Home serves as a living memorial to America's veterans by helping our nation's veteran and military families. Through our helpline and our on-campus programs, we help families and children through times of crisis, both on our beautiful campus and in their own communities nationwide.

Programs:
Helpline Program - Our Helpline is staffed by caring professionals who understand the unique challenges faced by today!€™s military and veteran families. This free service offers information, creates connections and gives hope to struggling families, wherever they are. It can also serve as a future resident!€™s first step to moving to the National Home.

Family Program - Families who need a fresh start can live in the safe and peaceful environment of the VFW National Home for Children campus community for 1-4 years and benefit from numerous community supports, including professional case management services, on-site licensed child care, life skills training, tutoring and other educational services, as well as recreational and community service opportunities.

Hours:

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. Voice message system available after hours

Eligibility:

Helpline Program:
Veterans, current active duty military, National Guard member and their families

Family Program:
Married, Single Parent or guardian(s) families with dependent child(ren) where:
o The child (ren) have VFW or Ladies Auxiliary member in his or her -parental lineage and/or
o A parent is a veteran; honorably discharged or still serving in the National Guard or Reserves.
!€¢ Deploying or unaccompanied tour service members:
o Spouse with dependent child (ren) or
o Family Plan appointed guardian with dependent child (ren)
