Rapides Habitat for Humanity builds safe, decent and affordable housing in partnership with low to moderate income families in need. The houses are then sold at no profit and no interest.

MISSION STATEMENT:
Rapides Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with God and people everywhere, from all walks of life , to develop communities with people in need by building and renovating houses so that there are decent houses in decent communities in which every person can experience God's love and can live and grow into all that God intends.

Hours:

Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm

Intake Process:

Applications are taken two times yearly in August and February / Screening committee does credit check / Must attend home buyer's training sessions

Eligibility:

Low to moderate income persons qualify / Applicants must demonstrate a housing need, have a permanent source of income and be willing to follow program guidelines

Typically volunteers are needed on the weekends / Volunteers must be 16 years or older to be able to do construction work on the site / We often schedule large groups through the main office and don't often have the need for extra walk-on volunteers / Please call or drop by to find out where your help is needed / Prior to volunteering on a Habitat site, please download the Volunteer Form from the website and have it filled out
