Our Mission
The mission of CNCS is to improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic engagement through service and volunteering.
AmeriCorps is a network of local, state, and national service programs that connects more than 70,000 Americans each year in intensive service to meet our country's critical needs in education, public safety, health, and the environment.
AmeriCorps members serve with more than 2,000 nonprofits, public agencies, and faith-based and community organizations.
Americorps/Impact Lake Charles has a main focus of healthy futures (health and safety education). Americorps/Impact Lake Charles pays a bi-weekly stipend to members and also offers an educational scholarship award. Americorps/Impact Lake Charles also assists citizens during disaster recovery efforts.

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
Intake Process:
Persons who are interested in becoming members of Americorps/Impact Lake Charles should complete an application process. Once the application is submitted, then the individual must complete the interview process.
