Our mission is to bring Christ's message of love to the poor and vulnerable by providing quality social services to families and individuals without discrimination and in accordance with Catholic Social Teachings and professional standards.
We offer:
!€¢ Emergency assistance - rent and utility assistance, food, and transportation assistance
!€¢ Immigration assistance - legal assistance and advocacy to low income immigrants. General assistance to help meet special needs is also offered
!€¢ Disaster response - in times of disaster, Catholic Charities of Shreveport can help by partnering with parishes and other service providers in the community to aid survivors with their basic and long-term recovery needs
!€¢ Parish social ministry - Catholic Charities of Shreveport aids parishes in outreach to the poor through a Parish Social Ministry program. This training program aims to help parishioners deepen their faith through participation in works of charity, peace and justice
